This is a good kid-level book about trees. The pictures are lovely and it's easy to understand- even I learned a few new things! It's a rather "involved" book in that it may be better for a classroom or reference than a bedtime book, but it's great none-the-less!
Another wonderful book by Gail Gibbons! I used this with my preschoolers for our planting unit.
We ordered one for each child in first grade to go along with the Reading Rockets program for Adventure Bags. They were delivered quickly and they were so great for first graders!
I love this book and learned so much about trees. Did I say that i'm an adult although this book was purchased for a child.It's really not for the very young but for an older child 7 or older it's perfect. Excellent information
Very educational
Four year old delights in this, although not yet reading, the content is accessible.
I ordered this book sight unseen for my three year old granddaughter because it is her favorite book at the public library. I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived because of its very good content. I am a retired science teacher and taught a unit on trees and leaves for many years, so I've seen a lot of mediocre texts and classificatio books. When my granddaughter opened the book on Christmas morning, you should have seen her face; she obviously has good taste in non-fiction books!
